Women make “plarn” mats for the homeless

The last Mary Our Queen Women’s Guild meeting of the season is on Monday, May 8th at 7 p.m. in Kiernan Hall.

We will have fun cutting our old plastic grocery bags and making “plarn” (plastic yarn).  We will then crochet the “plarn” into mats for the homeless.

This fun get together will save the environment as well as help those less fortunate to sleep on something softer than the street or the floor.  These “plarn” mats are totally washable, too.

Bring your scissors and grocery bags. We will have some large crochet hooks.
Do not know how to crochet?  We’ll teach you.
