The mission of the Education Commission is to support the lifelong spiritual development of parish members and our community through formal and informal programs offered by religious and lay leaders, on and off our campus.
We focus on children's activities, the School of Religion and maintain the library.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Prepare children for the sacraments of First Communion and Confirmation
• Identify fun and exciting events for children
• Use children’s events this year as recruiting tools
• Recruit volunteers for children’s activities
• Sponsor Lenten activities—Mardi Gras party and Stations of the Cross
• Recruit teachers for the School of Religion
• Train and screen (background checks) volunteer teachers
• Procure modern religious education resources
• Recruit volunteers for library, acquire books, review books for doctrinal content
• Create workshop ideas
