Confirmation Program

To all candidates for Confirmation, parents and sponsors,

Welcome to this exciting program of preparation! Confirmation for 2014 is scheduled for May 4 at the 11 a.m. Mass.

The Archdiocese of Atlanta has set the 10th grade as the year for the Sacrament of Confirmation to be celebrated. In order to be confirmed, you must show proof of two years of religious education, whether it is through a parish-sponsored religious education program (PSR) or Catholic school attendance. Candidates receiving the sacrament must be in 10th, 11th or 12th grade.

Candidates must also participate in formational preparation, which is only offered through the parish. This consists of sessions beginning in August and ends with a ceremony in May. Candidates are also required to attend a retreat in each year of preparation and participate in parish youth activities.

Class Schedule:
There are two sessions per week per topic: Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Your teen must attend one session on each topic. If your teen does not attend a session on a specific topic (either on Tues. or Wed.), both the teen and parent will need to meet with Christine Martin-Santos for the makeup session.
